TouRika is the romantic pairing between Zaizen Touko and Urabe Rika from the original Inazuma Eleven series.
Relationship[]
Both of them were introduced in Season 2 of the anime (and the equivalent games), although they aren't really paired up in that season, especially since Rika chases after Ichinose Kazuya for almost all her screentime that season and barely interacts with the other characters. We can assume they first became friends in that season though, likely bonding over being the only female players on the team.
In Season 3 (and the equivalent game), the two of them return not as players for Inazuma Japan (due to the FFI being male exclusive at the time) but as a sort of cheer squad outside of the managers. Calling themselves the "Godesses of Victory", the two are now very close and stay with the team to support them, cheer them on, provide extra commentary and reactions to the audience and play in a few practice matches, always side by side doing everything together. They even do the hissatsu technique "Butterfly Dream" together. In the preliminaries, Rika stays at Touko's house so she doesn't have to go back and forth between Osaka and Inazuma Town (Tokyo). Later, they stay at the lodge the team is staying at.
When Rika gets kidnapped by Tenkuu no Shito to get married off to the Demon Lord in order to seal him once more, Touko does not hesitate to do anything to save her friend. Despite seemingly having fallen behind her old now world class teammates, she does her part and more to defeat the angels, and is overjoyed when Rika is freed.
Only Touko appears briefly in the GO anime so there's no telling what happens to their friendship. In the GO games, you can recruit them but not much more either.
